5. The Trust has a number of Equality and Diversity Champions – Their role is to drive forward Equality and Diversity within their Divisions and to provide support and training to others undertaking Equality Impact Assessments. Champions attend quarterly Equality and Diversity Champion Meetings, chaired by the Trust’s Equality and Diversity Project Leads.

6. The Trust has recently set up an Equality and Diversity Staff Network Forum, to provide an opportunity for networking and support for staff across the equality groups. The Network provides a forum for staff to influence, change and to suggest improvements on equality and diversity issues that impact on policies, procedures, service & employment issues.

9. Reports produced by Wigan’s Borough Local Involvement Network which summarise a number of issues raised by local communities representing, equality groups are forwarded to the Trust.  The Trust investigates these reports in a timely manner and provides a formal response when required.  Recent Reports have included:
