Wigan Warriors Christmas Visit to Rainbow Ward

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) welcomed a host of Wigan Warriors players onto Rainbow Ward on 20th December, for their annual Christmas visit. Stuart Fielden, Andy Coley, Sam and Joel Tomkins and Lee Mossop all came with Wigan Warriors goodie bags for the children who are currently being treated at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. The players handed out gifts and had photographs taken with the children, their parents and the Super League trophy.

Prop Stuart Fielden, said, “The players really enjoy visiting the Ward at this time of year. We are always made very welcome by the staff and by the children and if we can put a smile on their faces it makes it all worthwhile."

Dr. Martin Farrier, Consultant Paediatrician, added, “All the children on the ward loved the visit of the Wigan Warriors players. The children and their parents were thrilled to see them and they were very appreciative that they have taken time out of their busy pre-season training schedule to visit and bring them goodie bags for Christmas, as well as the chance to see the Super League trophy.”
