Dr Kate Ardern, Executive Director of Public Health NHS Ashton Leigh and Wigan, was on hand to help begin demolition of the current designated smoking shelters. Dr Ardern said “I welcome the leadership in health improvement that WWL is showing in working on a really positive contribution to tobacco control in Wigan. This is a really important day for smoke free Wigan”.
