Do you have an opportunity to talk to people?

Wigan Council LogoWould you be interested in becoming a Cancer Champion who could encourage people to seek help and advice from their GP?

Wigan Council Public Health are offering a free one day course designed to give you knowledge and understanding of the early signs and symptoms of Bowel, Breast, Lung, Bladder and Kidney cancer as part of the Be Clear on Cancer campaign.

This course aims to give you tools you need to talk to people, as well as hints and tips on how to start a conversation or, how to pick up on keys people may give , as a prompt for a conversation around cancer.

Each day will run from 9:15am till 4:30pm and you will receive a Cancer Champion training pack and information and leaflets to support you afterwards.

Thursday 6th March 2014  - Higher Folds Community Centre, Leigh WN7 2UB

Refreshments are provided on the day but you will need to bring your own lunch.
