Mr Deshpande, who organised and hosted the first breast surgery forum back in September, has made the decision to continue with the meetings,as the first event was so well received by attendees.

The forums aredesigned to allow patients and their loved ones a comfortable setting in which to discuss any concerns or queries they may have surrounding breast surgery.  Complimentary refreshments are also available.

Mr Deshpande says: “The evening a great success because patients and carers benefitted from direct interaction with the surgeons and received answers to their pressing questions in a more relaxed and informal setting.”
“This kind of service is incredibly beneficial to people of the Wigan Borough who are dealing with the many concerns surrounding breast surgery.”

Patient feedback has been incredibly positive, calling the forum ‘very informative’, ‘positive and helpful’.’
