The awards, funded by the National Institute for Health Research, celebrate the contribution made to Clinical research by various teams and individuals.

The ‘Research Impact Category’ acknowledges those whose research has had a significant impact since April 2013. This can include anything from an innovative research technique, to forming a unique relationship with other clinical teams in order to secure recruitment targets.

Tracey Taylor, our research nurse, has also been nominated and selected as a finalist for ‘Oustanding contribution to Research.”

This category celebrates an individual who puts in discretionary effort to support their research and the research of others. The award can go to someone from any level including management, lab technicians, pharmacists and porters.

Only the top three groups or individuals from each category have been invited to attend the finals, which will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 30 October.
