Have Your Say with the CQC

Have your voice heard. Share your experiences of care services at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS FT with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) by attending their listening event.

The CQC will be inspecting WWL during the beginning of December. As part of the inspection, they will be holding a listening event at Leigh Sports Village, on Wednesday 2 December from 6pm until 7:30pm.

Whether your experiences of care have been good or bad in the last year, the CQC want to hear about them. Everyone who has received care from us is welcome to come along. Your experiences are important, as the Inspection Team will consider them when deciding where and how they will inspect WWL.

The CQC will give a 10 minute overview about our inspection and will answer any questions. After this there will be table discussions, where you will be able to share your experiences in groups with an Inspector. You can also suggest where you would like to see WWL make improvements. There will also be the opportunity to speak more privately if you prefer.

There is no need to register to attend the listening event. It is informal and you are welcome to come and go as you please.

If you aren’t able to attend the listening event, you can still share your experiences. The CQC have created a WWL Inspection website (http://www.cqc.org.uk/syeWWandL) which gives details about the whole Inspection and the hospital sites inspected. You can leave details of your experiences on line for each site you have attended and sign up to receive alerts when the CQC publish their inspection report.

Your views can also be passed to the inspection team by:
• Email: enquiries@cqc.org.uk
• Letter: CQC, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4PA
• Phone: 03000 61 61 61

During the course of the inspection, the Inspection Team will also be speaking to patients, when on site, to gain their views.
