TSB donate over £200 worth of toys to Rainbow Ward

An Ashton in Makerfield bank has provided a generous donation to Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust’s Rainbow Ward.

TSB has handed over £200’s worth of gifts for the children and staff that have spent Christmas on the children’s ward at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.

The donation is part of a nationwide Christmas programme by TSB, where each of its branches provides £100/£200 to a local cause, as a little extra support.

The wrapped-up presents were handed out on the ward by members of staff from the Branch, ranging from slime sets to fluffy unicorns and even mince pies.

Sheena Lyons-Ashworth, Bank Manager at TSB Ashton in Makerfield said “We’re delighted to be able to support the Rainbow Ward with this donation.

We wanted to give some happiness and cheer to the children and their families that are poorly and in hospital over the festive period. It’s fantastic to know that the gifts we have given them will really make a difference and light up their little faces.”

Nicky Crowther, Play Specialist on Rainbow Ward added: “I’d really like to thank TSB for the team’s support. It’s great to see a national company supporting the communities they serve at such a local level. TSB’s donation helped us spread some Christmas cheer.”
