Sports Knee Clinic

Run by two of the north west’s most highly experienced sports injury Consultants, the sports knee clinics at Wigan Infirmary and Wrightington Hospital treat a wide range of knee injuries, both acute (severe) and chronic (constant or persistent). Common problems treated include:

Knee ligament injuries:

  • ACL (anterior cruciate ligament)
  • PCL (posterior cruciate ligament)
  • Combined ligament injuries
  • Revision surgery

Meniscus injuries:

  • Repair
  • Resection (trimming)
  • Replacement/transplant

Cartilage injuries and early arthritis management

  • Microfracture
  • Osteochondral grafting
  • Osteotomy
