Communications and Media
Patients with suspected infectious diseases are regularly admitted to our hospitals for diagnostic tests and treatment. We have well tested procedures in place for treating these patients and there is no risk to other patients or visitors.
We will not be responding to any enquiries about reports of this activity in our hospitals.
Any information required about cases of Coronavirus will be confirmed by the Department of Health media team – please contact them if you have any enquiries.
There are many routes through which the Trust manages inbound and outbound communications.
In the first instance, all general communication email enquiries should be directed to PREnquiries@wwl.nhs.uk
Alternatively, you can call Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust direct on 01942 244 000.
All media communications, press releases and general information is co-ordinated by the Trust's Communications Department.
The department deals with all aspects of PR and media relations, patient related information and general external communications issues.
In addition to the Communications Department, there is a Communications group in place to develop and implement strategies that will improve communications throughout the local community and the Trust.
9.00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday.
