Rotations

We have an excellent rotation consisting of twelve clinical areas. You will have the opportunity to rotate across these areas to develop a wide range of clinical skills. The rotations are six monthly, working across our hospital sites.

Band 5 development programme

All newly appointed band 5’s complete a comprehensive preceptorship training programme to ensure they have the necessary skills to become a successful physiotherapist. You will have a dedicated Preceptor with regular supervision and 1:1 meetings.

Continued Professional Development (CPD)

On each rotation you will be encouraged to participate in your own professional development. There will be opportunities to attend in-service training and join internal/external courses.

Job Progression

We have lots of opportunities to progress and your colleagues will support you with the transition to band 5-6. As an experienced Band 5 there will be an opportunity to apply for the band 5-6 Development Pathway. At Band 6 there are static and rotational posts and development into non clinical roles.

Research

As a Trust, we are very keen to develop and support research activity. We have a research department and many physiotherapy staff who are actively involved In research. We are looking for graduates who have an enquiring mind and would like to be involved in research studies.

Health and Wellbeing

The health and wellbeing of our colleagues is a major priority. The Steps4Wellness team and our wellbeing strategy raises awareness of wellbeing activities. promoting healthy lifestyles and positive mental health. We have a Wellness lounge where staff can rest, relax and chat with colleagues. We have bike facilities to encourage more active travel.
