The Appointments Centre provides a central booking team for arranging patient appointments at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The team is based at Leigh Infirmary. We aim to arrange appointments at the best time and place to suit individual patient’s needs, and respond to written, e-mail and telephone requests for appointments.
We also have reception teams based in several out-patient departments at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.
Our opening hours are: Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 6.00pm and Saturday: 8.30am – 12.30pm

- How to arrange an appointment on-line
We understand that some of our patients may have difficulty in contacting us by telephone to arrange an appointment. If you are hearing impaired or speech impaired or unable to use a telephone, you can also arrange your appointment on-line.

For your peace of mind, your details are encrypted and sent securely to us. It is important to complete all mandatory fields and as many of the other fields as possible to allow us to identify you.

- How to re-schedule or cancel an appointment
We are all busy people and sometimes, it is not always possible for you to get to an appointment we may have made with you. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please tell us as soon as possible so your appointment can be given to another patient. This improves our service for everyone.
We have a dedicated webpage through which you can tell us you wish to change your appointment time or cancel your appointment completely. Please note you will require the details of your appointment to hand as there is specific information we will need to give us.
