Introducing Heidi – Supporting Better Conversations in Your Care

At WWL, we’re always looking for ways to improve your experience. That’s why we’re introducing Heidi, a secure digital listening tool that supports clinicians by capturing notes during your appointment.

This means your clinician can spend more time focusing on you, rather than typing or writing notes.

What this means for you:

  • More face-to-face time with your clinician
  • Better quality and more accurate clinical notes
  • A more natural, uninterrupted conversation
  • Less need to repeat information

Heidi works in the background to capture key points from your consultation, but your clinician always reviews and approves everything before it becomes part of your medical record.

Your privacy and confidentiality remain our top priority. Heidi is secure and used in line with NHS data protection standards. It’s your choice whether we use Heidi in your appointment, and your choice won’t affect the care you receive.

Heidi is a digital notetaking tool that helps clinicians record notes during your appointment, so they can focus more on listening and talking to you. It helps clinicians prepare notes, letters and forms during or after your appointment.

It allows your clinician to spend more time listening to you, improving communication and supporting better care. All notes and letters created by Heidi are carefully reviewed and approved by your clinician before being added to your medical record.

No. Heidi is only there to support notetaking. Your clinician is fully in control at all times.

Yes. Heidi meets strict NHS data protection and security standards. Your information is handled securely and confidentially. Heidi is compliant with data protection laws; no recordings are made or stored and it cannot access your medical history.

You may be told it’s being used, but it won’t interrupt your appointment. It works in the background.

Not necessarily. Your clinician will decide whether Heidi is helpful for the services we provide and the type of appointment. You can always opt out.

Your clinician reviews and approves notes before they are added to your health record, which is handled in line with NHS confidentiality and data protection.

Yes. If you’re not comfortable, please let your clinician know and they will respect your wishes. You can say no at any time, whether or not you’ve said yes before.

Please tell your clinician what helps you get the best out of your care. Heidi is used to support your appointment, your preferences, accessibility needs and reasonable adjustments come first.
