Text Reminders Service
Across WWL’s services, text reminders are being re-introduced as part of our appointment reminder and patient portal service.
Appointment reminders will be sent to you by text message from 07860 039092 or via email with a link to nhs.my/wwl - You can follow this link to login to your patient portal and manage your appointments online.
We have partnered with DrDoctor, a digital health company, to deliver this service.
Patients who prefer paper letters can still receive their letters by post as usual.
More information on this service is available below or you can view our FAQ page.
- Why are we re-introducing text reminders?
We are re-introducing text reminders to help you keep track of your appointments, and to give you the ability to cancel or rearrange an appointment should you need to.
This easy access to cancelling or rearranging an appointment means that once you have informed us via text message or through the my.nhs/wwl patient portal, we can help to lower waiting times for other patients by offering them the available appointment slot.
Using text reminders will also:
- Save the NHS money by reducing the amount of paper and stamps we are using
- Reduce our environmental impact
- Getting started
To access the DrDoctor secure patient portal we need your correct details on our system. Please check with our Appointment Centre by calling 0300 555 4567, by emailing appointments@wwl.nhs.uk, or at reception on your next visit to the hospital. Please ensure the following details are correct:
- Full name
