Lymphoedema Service
We are a small, supportive team who work with people living with long term swelling, also known as lymphoedema. We also provide assessment and treatment for people living with lipoedema.
If you meet our service criteria, we will take time to understand your needs and concerns. We offer personalised assessments, clear and easy to understand information, and treatment programmes designed to support you.
Our aim is to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to manage your condition with confidence, improve your comfort, and support your everyday wellbeing.
We work with you to encourage self management and help you feel more in control of your health
- Who can access the service?
Patients aged 16 and over, who are registered with GP practices within the Wigan Borough / who are Wigan Borough residents, and who have long term swelling.
- How can people access the service?
Any Healthcare Professional can refer into our service – see referral form below.
We are unable to accept self-referrals.
All referrals are triaged to assess eligibility, and those who meet our service criteria are offered an appointment for assessment.

Our clinics are based at the following clinics:
- Boston House, Frog Lane, Wigan WN6 7LB
- Parr Bridge, Mosley Common. M29 8RZ
Home Visits may also be available for housebound patients.
