Having never attended university, this apprenticeship has provided an opportunity to gain a recognised qualification whilst learning in a way that suits me. It has been a natural step for my career progression, enhancing my knowledge further and supporting my career aspirations.

My initial weeks were incredibly engaging, and I found it beneficial to enhance my theoretical understanding. The support from colleagues, management, and mentors has made re-entering structured learning much less intimidating. The reassurance and encouragement I have received have significantly boosted my confidence.

Completing this apprenticeship will enable me to move up to a higher banding and offer me a qualification that serves as a strong foundation for my future in healthcare. It has allowed me to achieve something I never thought possible without attending university. This experience demonstrates that there are alternative paths to progress, and that hard work and experience can be just as valuable as traditional academic routes.
