Ms Prado undertook her undergraduate dental degree at UClan after previously completing a degree in Biological Science at Leeds University. She then undertook a number of hospital jobs in Manchester and Derby, working with specialists in paediatric dentistry, orthodontics and oral & maxillofacial surgery. During this time she gained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MFDS).

Ms Prado completed orthodontic specialist training in Manchester, during which time she gained a Masters of Sciences (MSc). Following this she undertook the 2-year consultant training, including work at the Cleft service at Manchester Childrens Hospital, and was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDSOrth).

In addition to being a hospital Consultant at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary and Salford Royal Hospital, she lectures on the undergraduate and post-graduate programme at the University of Manchester, and is a clinical supervisor to specialist trainees, dental core trainees and orthodontic therapy trainees.
