Introduction

 Locala Sexual Health are the lead provider of the integrated sexual health services across the Wigan Borough. The range of services offered includes:

1. A range of contraception including implants, coils, condoms and emergency contraception
2. Screening and tests for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), including Chlamydia, HIV, and treatments for most STIs, including post exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
3. Vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B and HPV.
4. Advice on unplanned pregnancy and other sexual health issues
5. Provide the C Card (condom card) Condom Distribution Scheme across the borough.

How to book an appointment 

Locala offer a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments at different times throughout the day. If you would like to book an appointment, please contact us on:

The phone lines are open Monday to Wednesday 8:30am-6:30pm and Thursday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm (excluding bank holidays).

 Under 18s Queue & Wait Clinic  

• Wigan Sexual Health Service, 66a Standishgate, Wigan, WN1 1UW    Tuesday’s 3pm - 5pm
• Leigh Health Centre, Entrance C, The Avenue, Leigh, WN7 1HR    Wednesday’s 3pm – 5pm

These clinics are for under 18s only.  There is no need to book an appointment, just turn up.
