Improving your general health and wellbeing is another helpful way to help manage MSK related pain. There are lots of health and wellbeing offers within the wigan borough, from ways to help with increasing physical activity, to financial support, carers support and mental wellbeing support to name a few. There are some links below which take you to websites to find out more information on what is on offer in our area to support you with your health and wellbeing.

Wigan Council Directory - This link contains information for lots of local support to young and old people and families who are living and/or working in the Wigan Borough. These include ways to manage your physical and mental health, job opportunities, financial advice, school information among many many other topics. Overall a great resource for local help and advice.
Be Well Wigan - This is another Council operated scheme aimed at increasing the local population's activity levels. Through them you can access many facilities, gyms, exercise classes, weight loss advice as well as outdoor activities such as walking and bike rides. This is now a self referral service and the information for referring is found on the website.
Stop Smoking - This service is run by Be Well Wigan and they have lots of resources available to anyone looking to stop smoking/vaping
