Patient Discharge Information for Gastroscopy Procedure without Sedation

After your gastroscopy procedure without sedation, you can eat and drink normally 1 hour after the throat spray. It is not unusual to experience some wind and mild cramps after the procedure.

 

If you experience any of the following, please contact us immediately:

  • Severe abdominal or chest pains
  • Develop chills or a fever
  • Persistent vomiting
  • Difficulty breathing
