Dr Power graduated from the University of Manchester and completed her foundation training at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport. Following this she entered paediatric training within the Mersey Deanery. In ST6 Dr Power secured a grid training post in community paediatrics and returned to the Manchester deanery to complete her subspecialty training with placements in Wigan and Bury.
Following completion of her training, Dr Power worked as a locum consultant in Bury for a short time before returning to Wigan to take up her substantive post.
