Mr. Pothula would be happy to provide telephone advice to general practitioners and patients, at any time via his secretary.
Qualifications: FRCS, FRCS (ORL-HNS)
Vijaya qualified from Hyderabad, India. He acquired basic ENT training in India and the Republic of Ireland. His higher surgical training was from the Merseyside region and he was appointed as Consultant at WWL in 2001.
He is Honorary Senior Lecturer at Central Lancashire and Edge Hill Universities. He was appointed as Clinical Director for Head and Neck, Ophthalmology and Maxillo-Facial Surgery in 2007.
At WWL he is the lead clinician for Head and Neck cancer; as well as providing general Ear, Nose and Throat Services. He is also a member of the Greater Manchester Head and Neck subgroup of Cancer Network.
He runs a neck lump clinic every week, in conjunction with a Radiologist, and all suspected cancer referrals are seen within two weeks. He undertakes head and neck cancer surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.
Vijay runs a large charitable project for the rehabilitation of hearing disabled children in India and raises much needed revenue for this ongoing project.
