Elective Services
OVERVIEW:
The elective services directorate is based at Leigh Infirmary and comprises the theatres, treatment rooms and Ward 3.

The Elective Services team works in conjunction with all other surgical directorates which use the facilities that comprise elective services.
It is especially closely associated with the Directorate of Obstetrics and Gynaecology which runs the services based on Ward 2 including the day case beds on that ward.
There is a multidisciplinary service improvement team which meets monthly and includes representatives from other directorates at which issues relating to the services at Leigh are discussed.
